The book The Lost Hero, by Rick Riordan is about Greek mythology and three demigods going on a quest to save a goddess. Rick Riordan is the 1st New York Times bestselling author. In The Lost Hero, a 15 year old demigod named Jason wakes up and doesn’t remember anything. He goes to a camp that trains half-bloods with his friends, Leo and Piper, goes on a quest with them, and saves Hera, the Greek goddess. Some of the best parts in the story include, when everyone finds out who there godly parent is, saving Piper’s dad, and when Jason summons thunderbolts. This book is best for people who are into action and fantasy.
The Theme analysis assignment is where you have to find a theme and then write a paragraph about it. The theme that I picked for this project is working together. Jason, Leo, and Piper worked together and trusted each other to overcome many problems. This is what I wrote for this project:
The theme of the book, The Lost Hero, is you need to work together. One of the reasons that the theme is friendship, is that Jason tried to fight three Cyclops by himself. Since Jason didn’t think about waiting for his friend Leo to return, he just went to see what the noises were by himself. He was too self-confident. After going by himself, Jason got tied up and almost eaten. If Jason waited for his friend Leo to come back, then they could’ve taken down the Cyclops together. Another example is that when Jason, Leo, and Piper were trying to save Hera, They worked together. Since they worked together, they could free Hera and scare the giant, Porphyrion, away. Because of this, None of them died and they went back to camp. If they didn’t work together at that time, then they would most likely die and Hera would still be trapped. They clearly show this theme by depending on each other and needing each other's help. This relates to real life because, in many situations, you need other people to help you. This is why the theme of my book, The Lost Hero, is working together.
