1-5: Chaya was trying to sneak and smuggle weapons and other stuff into a ghetto and give it to the people inside during the time when the naizes where killing all the jews, because she didn’t want others to get killed like some members of her family. Chaya got them in by putting stuff in her clothes and baking loaves of bread with weapons inside them.
5-10: Chaya and everybody else in their resistance group planned a raid on the nazi; they waited in their apartment for when it was five o'clock, when they would each smuggle themselves out of the ghetto. Most of them didn’t survive; some escaped into the forest, and some survived other ways, like joining other resistance groups.
10-15: Chaya wanted to go back to the ghetto that her parents are in to see them again at podgorze ghetto; she did it after she figured out how to sneak in. She and Esther filled their coats with hay and ate as little as possible so they could get there.
15-20: Chaya and Esther were trying to get to the ghetto that Chaya's parents are in to see them again, and they set off on their way there. To get there, they needed their food to last long enough to get there, but after a while, they were already not doing well; their hands were cold and throbbing, and it was snowing, which was making it worse. When they got there with all the food, the person at the front was a blackmailer and made them give them one of the bags of food, but one had weapons in it, so they had to give the food away. After she wanted to leave, she couldn’t, so they had to hide. When they tried to escape the apartment building, Henry died. When they found a place to stay, someone found them, but they found a way to keep him quiet.
20-25: They had to go deliver something to another ghetto, but Chaya didn't know what it was because Esther said she couldn’t tell her. While they were walking there esther started to think about how it could have been them who were the reason for some people's deaths. While they were walking through a town, they almost got caught by a women because there was usually nobody new there. They found a tank and stayed in it for the night. They found a radio and found out the Germans were winning; they also found bullets.
25-30: Chaya and Esther were staying in a barn, and after they fell asleep, they got woken up by somebody walking into the barn. Chaya hid in a bin of stuff; Esther got caught, and they beat her. After they took her away and set the barn on fire, after the fire spread a bit, Chaya got out and tried to go and get Esther. When Chaya was trying to find Esther, she went to a town to look; one of the naizes hit on Chaya and wanted to walk her to the shops. Chaya set some cars on fire to make a distraction to get Esther out, and it worked; they got out of the town but it was hard cause esther was cold and had a hurt arm. While they were walking, they got found by somebody.
30-35: When they were walking, someone found them; Chaya told them to show themselves, and it was Rubin. There were a lot more people; everybody was armed with guns. Rubin took them back to camp and got Esther warm. There was a doctor at the camp who helped Esther with her arm in the morning; Esther seemed a lot better. When they got there, Chaya got food and medical supplies for the people who wanted to fight. They went to get in at night. Esther showed her the tunnels there were to get there. When they got in there, they handed out their food and dug bunkers. Esther lied about the package that she said she was gonna bring. They said there was someone there for them. Chaya was so happy that she found her brother, and they hugged, while Chaya and Esther were walking before he yelled out for her but she didn’t hear it. He was so happy he found her.
35-40: Chaya and Esther helped other people make bunkers to keep people safe when there was a fight. They made a bunch of food and put it in the bunkers because people might have been staying in the bunkers for a while. Also, they stole armor and put it in there to keep people safe. They heard a bomb go off at 2 am and knew it was time to fight; they took their weapons and went out. The fight had officially started, and they created fire all around and had to run away before the explosions they set off. The Germans had underestimated them, so they were ready. There were so many of them and people fighting outside of the ghetto, but it still wasn’t enough. When they were looking, they noticed they brought a bomber, so they went to one of the bunkers so it would be safer. They found one of the groups of them and killed them brutally. Someone put up giant flags, the Polish and Jewish flags, which made them happy but would make the Germans mad.
40-45: The Germans tried to make them surrender, or the ghetto would be gone and everyone in it would be killed. They decided not to and made bombs and threw them. Some people got hurt, so they tried to help, but they couldn’t help everybody, which was hard for Chaya. Chaya set off a bomb and ran off, hoping nobody saw her because there was a gunner near her. When she went out, German soldiers had come and lined up people and placed them on their knees. Someone had a gun and shot one of the Germans; they shot all the jews. She found Yitzchak, and they watched the Germans drive over a landmine they put, but it didn't go off, so they had to do it themselves. When Chaya was standing there, she got shot by one of the soldiers, and Yitzchak tried to help her, but that didn’t work. Then Esther came out and helped Chaya; someone else helped sew it together. Chaya was in a lot of pain. They kept fighting through pain and fear because people were shooting at them and throwing bombs at them. The Germans had brought flamethrowers and were going to set the ghetto on fire. Some people didn’t care about what happened, but when they looked over the wall, they saw some people who seemed disappointed in what they were doing. Chaya noticed there was smoke, so the building above was on fire and burning fast.
45-49: Chaya couldn’t sleep, and her leg ached; she didn't remember what day it was. So many people were dying; everything was on fire too. She tried to help people get out of the ghetto that was on fire; as she was going, she heard a bomber come, and it shook the ground when.. The Germans were collecting people on one of the streets and shot all of them. During that, the nazis saw her, and the people that were lined up fought back to help her. She hid and crawled into a ball because she knew there was no way to win. They had to escape the ghetto and bring as many people as they could through the sewers; they used the thick smoke to cover themselves. Many people had been waiting for them to help them escape. When they were walking, a German soldier lifted the lid and put a poisoned grenade in the sewers. German soldier came in to check for jews so Esther went to get them away. Chaya didn't want her to, but Esther said that they would know her father. Chaya heard a gun fire and thought Esther was dead; they found the ending and got out. They got in a truck to get them away it brought them to a farm, and they got food, milk, and new clothes. Also, Chaya got her wound cleaned. Chaya kept fighting and helping all who needed it and got everybody out.
