The theme of the book “Battle Dragons: City of Thieves” by Alex London, is to accept and trust yourself and to have a sense of control in your life. On page 13, a Dragon, specifically a sunrise reaper, finds Abel. The dragon is being looked out for by a group of criminals called the Thunder Wings. So Abel has to become a criminal and be responsible for another creature. All this to stay out of trouble. Now Abel is a criminal, putting his own life in danger to save his life from trouble. Depending on the dragon's element, it can burn, roast, toast, ash, and smoke him to death. If he argues with the Thunder Wings, then they can kill him.. But if he tells his parents, he’ll get into a lot of trouble, because his parents are in the Red Talons, the sworn enemies of the Thunder Wings. His dragon is one of the strongest ferocious, furious, and brave dragons. Since he’s in training, he doesn’t have to fight that much. Since that, he has saved his own life and is out of trouble. If he is impatient, then it can lead to his death and trouble. This teaches me to accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control in your life.
