Theme analysis

A theme In the book Ground Zero is to listen to your parents because they may know something you don't. On page 1 it said "he was suspended" and on page 20 it said, "The elevator suddenly went sideways." In the first page of the book, Brandon punched a kid at school and got suspended. So he went to work with his dad at a restaurant at the World Trade Center at the top of the North Tower and Brandon went on an elevator by himself and it suddenly went sideways and he got stuck inside the elevator. So if Brandon had listened to his dad Brandon wouldn't have been stuck in an elevator during 9/11 at a North tower. And then after that Brandon's dad told him "You stay with him until you're safe. So Brandon said "yes" and after that, later in the book Brandon got out of the North Tower and said, "We made it." Brandon listening to his dad got him out of the north tower because when the plane crashed into the tower there was chaos in the tower and hard obstacles to get through so Richard helped Brandon get through them. And towards the end of the book after Richard helped Brandon get to the bottom floor of the north tower it was super crowded and Richard helped Brandon navigate through everybody. So if Brandon Hadn't listened to his dad he wouldn't have made it out of the North Tower.
