After 26 years of teaching, I find great joy in helping students discover their voices through reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I learn much about life from reading students' writing and by listening to their experiences, ideas, and beliefs.

I love spending time with my husband, Wade; my nephew, Jude; and my cat, Prissy!

I also love seeing plays, and I'm a huge fan of Shakespearean plays in particular!
