Email: The Third Grade Teachers will send out class or grade level emails containing important class updates. Keep your eyes out for this! 

Weekly Newsletters: Will be emailed home weekly. These will contain curriculum updates and weekly schedules. 

Lunch  & Recess will be from  from 12:55-1:40 pm.

Third Graders are often in need of a snack! Please send your child with a  healthy snack to eat each day that doesn't require utensils. Our lunch is late in the day, so we like to have enough nourishment to fuel our brains! 

Movement is needed now more than ever! We will work to include stand up, stretch, and movement breaks throughout our lessons. 

We encourage your family to work together to have a spot to keep your students Chromebook and materials. Chromebooks will go home each day.

Chromebooks will need to be charged daily at home.

Third grade is a year of tremendous growth!  The levels of learning and expectations are raised.  Students are expected to follow the 7 Habits and classroom rules/procedures all day, every day.  To promote positive behavior, we have implemented the following plans:

Class Dojo – This incredible app allows us to monitor your child’s positive behavior!  Each week, our students will start fresh with “0” Dojo points.  Throughout the week, students will earn points for good behavior, attendance, responsible choices, etc.  Students may choose to save or spend their points! 

Whole-Class Reward– Classes will synergize (Habit #6) and work together in order to earn a celebration.  Steps to our goal are earned when everyone in the class is working together to listen, follow directions, complete assignments, show positive attitudes and teamwork, etc.  When a celebration is won, the class will earn a reward (extra recess, stinky feet, pajama day, etc).  We always Begin with the End in Mind (Habit #2) and make a plan for what we are working toward.
