WALT: identify the main idea and supporting details in a paragraph by using the keywords and topic sentences.
For today's session we will be reading an article on Dogo news about tosanoides aphrodite, a newly discovered species of fish.
Make a copy of the 'About / Point Chart' above.
When you aren't reading with the teacher this week, you will be completing your group's reading contract. A copy is in your group's reading box along with the journal that you need.
Answer the questions on a Google doc. The questions are related to different stories in the journal so make sure you start by putting the story as a heading before putting down the question you are doing as well as the answer.
Complete any unfinished work - look at the Google Sheet
Start up a Google doc and complete the Reading Contract work on the left using the Level 4 May 2015 School Journal in your group box.
Read at least 5 blog posts and comment on at least 1. Add to the 'Term 4 Reading Blog Posts' Google Sheet in your Reading folder.
Continue from Thursday's reading session 'Catch My Drift' Connected 4 2012.
Explore the interactive on the left which explains how marine animals are linked in a marine food web. Choose a Google app and create your own food web (like from the 'Who's Eating Who?' article) from a different environment (so, not the ocean or Antarctica). Share by posting on your blog.
