About the Director

Emma Palioca, a native to Portland, joined the Parkrose community in the fall of 2019 and is now the Director of Choirs at Parkrose High School and Middle School. Under her direction, the choirs have been awarded numerous Gold Awards by the Oregon ACDA. Mrs. Palioca serves on the Oregon Music Educators Association District II board and has been an active member of both OMEA, and the American Choral Directors Association since 2013. Mrs. Palioca is passionate about teaching young singers how to develop their voices and musical skill through choir. In her spare time, Mrs. Palioca loves watching good movies, singing, and being outdoors with her husband, Ethan, and dog, Koa.
