Introduction to Colored Pencil Drawing
Class description: In this beginner’s course, the basics of composition, drawing, and colored pencil techniques were introduced with the goal of each student creating their own colored pencil artwork. No experience was required.

Creature Pencil Drawing Class
Class description: In this beginner’s course, the basics of using texture and shading techniques were introduced with the goal of each student creating a shaded textural animal or insect drawing. No experience required! They ALL did a beautiful job!
Hanging Hand-built Star Sculpture
At SMS
The Participants will be taught how to construct the 5 separate Star arms, pre-plan design elements, decorate them using watercolors and professional colored pencil techniques, and then assemble the 5 star arms together and rig them for hanging! Check out the examples below! No Experience required! Awesome!
"Missing Link" Handmade Wire-worked Necklace and Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant Class
In this Three Session academy, each participant learns how to make their own fused dichroic glass pendant, and then designs and constructs a brass or copper necklace to display the pendant! Check out the ones made by past students!
Fused Dichroic Glass Pendants Class!
In this Two Session Class, Students learn how to cut dichroic glass, compose the pieces into a pendant, and affix a bail to the finished fused piece!
Explorations In A New Ceramic Medium: Porcelain Paper Clay! Class
Class description: In this intermediate-level hand building course, the class explored the capabilities and characteristics of sculpting and hand building with a ceramic porcelain clay body which has been mixed with paper fiber. They all brought a sense of adventure to experiment and explore!
They ALL did a beautiful job!
Ceramic Hand building Level I Class
Class description:
In this beginner’s course, ceramic clay hand-building techniques such as coiling, pinching, modeling and slab construction were explored. Basic glazing techniques and simple fused glass inclusions were covered. All skill levels were welcome.
