School Counseling at Kernsville is a building wide program. I teach lessons in classrooms, assist with classroom meetings, hold small group sessions, meet with individual students, and collaborate with teachers and administrators throughout the building.
One of our building-wide initiatives is our School-Wide Positive Behavior System (SWPBS) Paw Patrol Program. This program utilizes positive reinforcement for students that are "caught" displaying Proud, Accountable, Careful, and/or Kind behaviors. This program helps students to feel a sense of community at Kernsville Elementary.
As the School Counselor, I can assist families in a variety of ways. If your student is struggling and you aren't sure where to turn, feel free to reach out via email or phone, and I will be happy to assist you in any way that I can.
