How do I budget for PPI activities?

Think about budgeting for the following:

• Travel expenses and refreshments, if you are planning a face-to-face activity

• IT support or upgrades if you are running a meeting virtually

• Funding for a freephone number if you are running a meeting by phone

• Access provision (e.g. if someone wishes to travel with a carer or family member)

• A payment for people’s time. Some people may not want to accept payment (or may not be able to because of their benefits situation) - but you need to budget for it. If they don’t accept it, you can offer to make a donation to the charity that relates to the condition/s you’re studying.
