About Me: Hello! My name is Amanda White! This if my 16th year of working in schools. I have worked with students from 2nd grade to 8th grade in a variety of settings. This is my 2nd year in Park Hill (I worked with both Southeast and Line Creek Elementary last year). 

I moved from the Columbia area last year. I am married and we have two sons: Drake, 15 years old and Chase, 12 years old. We love all things sports (playing and watching), Avengers, and in general just spending time together.

About Me: Hello! I am the Reading teacher on Team Cyclones. I am a graduate of Mizzou and UMKC. I have been teaching since 1999. I read an average of one book a week and love to talk about great characters and stories. As a family,  my husband, Shawn, and kids, Ryan and Katie, and I  love to be outside riding dirt bikes, playing sports,  hiking or swimming. I am looking forward to a great year!

About Me: I’m Mr. Roling and I’m your 7th grade Science Teacher! This will be my second year teaching!  I grew up in a small town in central Missouri. I earned my bachelors degree from the University of Missouri, then moved to Kansas city after graduation. I’m thrilled to be working at Walden. I love all things science and can’t wait to get started!

In my free time I love hanging out with my wife and my daughter. I also like to watch and play pretty much every sport, and can’t get enough of the Royals, Chiefs, or the Missouri Tigers!!

About Me: Hi! I am the Social Studies teacher for the Cyclones! I am VERY excited for the upcoming school year. This will be my fifth year at Walden Middle School and on the Cyclones team.  I received my Bachelor's Degree at Park University in Middle School Social Studies. I recently finished a Master's Program at The University of Missouri Columbia (MIZ!!!), in Social Studies curriculum design and implementation.  I began my teaching journey in 2021 and enjoy watching students succeed and achieve!

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family and friends. I am a HUGE fan of movies, video game, and tv shows. I love going to conventions like Planet Comicon.  I have also enjoyed being a Sporting KC season ticket member since 2014.  When not cheering on SKC I am a huge Chiefs fan! I really enjoy getting to know my students and can't wait to find out what YOU enjoy!

About Me: Hello there! I’m Miss Buss, and I’m a learning specialist on the Cyclones team. This is my 6th year of teaching at Walden Middle School. I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing Walden Community and look forward to another year of learning!

Outside of school I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking, or stand up paddle boarding.

About Me: Hello! I'm Ms. Gadd and I am the ELA teacher on the Cyclones team. I am from Parkville, Missouri (even graduated from Park Hill South)! This is my fourth year teaching. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Middle School Language Arts from the University of Missouri and also a minor in English. I am working on my second master's, too. In my free time, I love to hang with my dog Mandy, listen to audiobooks, hang out with friends and family, check out new restaurants in KC, and binge-watch movies/TV shows. I can't wait to get to know you all this year!

About Me: Heeyyyy, Cyclones! I am the math teacher on our team. This is my 3rd year in teaching, my 6th in education.  Before joining the Walden staff this year, I was a teacher for about 2 years at Line Creek Elementary School.  Math has always been my favorite subject to teach. I feel passionately about every student being able to learn and do well at math. I enjoy getting to know students and helping them achieve their goals.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my pets. My husband Andrew and I enjoy playing Fortnite together. My son Olin attends Mizzou for college, my son Jackson is in 9th grade at LEAD, and my child Etta is in 6th grade at Walden. My pets include my three dogs, Bonnie, Clover, and Bear, a leopard gecko named Chrollo, a snake named Cosmo, two Amazon milk frogs (Burger & Turnip), and my husband's nine tarantulas. I enjoy crocheting (especially amigurumi) and all things cute. I also love my house plants and my garden.  My favorite video game of all time is Stardew Valley.
