About This Class

Hello and welcome to 7th Grade Math!

This year, we're going to explore some exciting and important concepts that will help you understand how math connects to the real world. We’ll dive into fractions, decimals, percents, and negative numbers, and learn how to use them in everyday situations. Along the way, you’ll build skills in problem-solving, work with equations, and see how math helps us make sense of things like money, measurements, and even temperatures.

Whether you're a math whiz or just getting started, my goal is to make sure everyone feels confident and ready to tackle challenges. We're going to work together, ask questions, and have fun along the way. Get ready for a great year of learning!

Unit 1: Rational Numbers

Students will learn that fractions, decimals, and percents are all different ways to represent the same types of numbers. They will practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing these numbers, including negative ones, by connecting them to real-life examples like temperatures or debts. Students will also use what they’ve learned to solve problems and write simple equations.
