MIDWEEK MESSAGE
Church Conference This Saturday
Our Church Conference meeting is this Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. Everyone is invited.
If you are unable to attend in person, you may watch online via this link. At this time we do not have a way for online members to vote. Maybe next year we will have it.
At this meeting we will review the year so far and plan for 2027. There are items of business that will be presented for approval, but mostly this is a chance to celebrate how God has guided us and our ministries.
Members of Parker UMC are eligible to vote, but anyone can attend. If you have questions about your membership, please reach out to Pastor Laura.
Cook-Off Time This Sunday!
The weather is starting to cool down and the days are getting shorter. That must mean it is time to gather around yummy chili and/or macaroni and cheese! Dig out your best recipe and get ready to be part of the 2026 Chili & Mac Cook-Off!
Join us with or without an entry on Sunday, November 8 at 11:30 a.m. Sample one or all of the chili and mac & cheese dishes, meet new people or chat with old friends, but be sure to come and be part of the fun!
Don't worry, we will have the Broncos game on the big screen in the Fellowship Hall! Contact Noelle for questions.
2027 Commitments
Many thanks to all those who submitted their Commitment cards for 2027. Your generosity helps the Leadership Board plan for 2027.
If you did not have a chance to submit your card, you can bring it to church on Sunday and place in the offering basket, or drop it off in the church office, or complete the online form.
We also invite you to return your Time & Talent card as a way to support our church ministries with your time & effort.
If you have any questions about this, please reach out to Candi in the church office.
We are grateful for how we serve God's people together!

We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level.
For November 8 Sunday worship:
This week's sermon: Now That Faith Has Come
Scripture: Galatians 3:23-29
Guiding Questions:
Read Galatians 3:23-29. Paul lists several labels that would have divided the community in Galatia at that time. What labels do we use today to categorize people, sometimes without even realizing it? Which labels create the greatest divisions in our communities? (Consider political affiliation, socioeconomic status, education, race, religion, gender, immigration status, or other identities.) How do these labels influence the way we see or treat others?
Why do you think Paul emphasizes being “baptized into Christ”? Paul reminds us that we are all children of God through faith in Christ. What does it mean to let our identity in Christ be more important than the other labels we carry?
What do you think “clothing yourself with Christ” means in daily life? Can you think of anyone who does that well? Who and why? What might people see in us when we are living this out? If we are called to put on Christ, what attitudes, assumptions, or behaviors might we need to take off? What makes those things difficult to let go of?
How can we celebrate our differences while still recognizing that we are all equally valued and loved by God? What does that kind of unity look like in practice? How can we do that in a society that can be extremely divisive?
How can we support one another in fully embodying Christ’s vision for unity? If our church truly lived out Paul's vision that everyone belongs equally in God's family, what would look different about the way we welcome, include, and care for others? What is one way you can be intention this week to help someone else feel seen, valued, and included?
Please join us this Sunday as we begin a new sermon series: Dear Children of God: OMG. This Sunday's message is Now That Faith Has Come and our scripture reading is Galatians 3:23-29
