They go above and beyond to lift up those in need, create welcome spaces for our community, take care of the babies, support our youth, ensure elevators are working, run our technology, and the list goes on and on and on.
Mark your calendars to celebrate them on Sunday, October 25, and what celebration is complete without CAKE! In addition, if you would like to contribute toward gifts to bless our Staff and Clergy, we have asked them about their favorite things and have a sign up link HERE.

2027 Stewardship Campaign
Generosity is more than what we give; it is a way of living and growing in faith. As we begin our annual stewardship campaign, Generous: The Beauty in Giving, we are invited to listen for God’s call to live generously in all that we do. Generosity begins with recognizing the abundant love God has so freely shared with us and discovering how we can reflect that love in our lives. Through the gifts of our time, talents, and resources, we deepen our faith, strengthen our church community, and share God’s love with others. In the coming weeks, may we be inspired to embrace the beauty of a generous life.
“True generosity is an offering; given freely and out of pure love. No strings attached. No expectations.” Suze Orman

This is our annual church meeting where we review the year so far and plan for 2027. There are items of business that will be presented for approval, but mostly this is a chance to celebrate how God has guided us and our ministries.

There will also be a New Member class on Sunday, October 18, at 11:45 a.m. Let Pastor Laura know if you are interested in attending.

Looking For These Church Members
Each year we review our membership list to note whom we have not seen for a while. We reach out to them to learn if they have moved, are attending a different church, would like to withdraw their membership, or want to speak with a pastor.
Last year, we published a list of church members that we had not had any contact with. They were presented last year as our First Year List.
This year, we still have not heard from many on that list. They will be on our Second Year List to be presented at our church conference meeting on November 7.
Please review this list. Paper copies are also at the Welcome Desk. If you have contact information for someone, please reach out to Susan Gustin, our membership secretary, or Pastor Laura.
We appreciate your help in finding these church members.
Sign Up for 2026 Altar Flowers
Our altar flowers each week are given in honor or memory of someone. We usually have one arrangement each Sunday. The church office orders from our vendor, Little Shop of Flowers. You do not need to contact our vendor directly; we handle it.
If you are interested in ordering flowers, please fill out the Sign Up Genius for 2026 here. You can also email or speak with Candi in the church office. Cost is $50 per arrangement.
Please speak with Candi Robinson if you have any questions.
Thanks for beautifying our altar table!
Community Announcements
Let us know if there is something in the community to share with others.
Interfaith Coalition's Friends-Raising Event for Friendship Camp this Sunday, October 18, 2 - 5 p.m. at Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch. This will be a joyful, intergeneraitonal afternoon with food, games, and fun for all ages. People of all faith traditions are warmly welcome. You can RSVP here. Questions? Check out the Interfaith Coalition of Douglas County for more information.
In preparation for Sunday worship, here are questions to consider ahead of time. You can use these in your own devotion time, in conversation with family and friends, or in a small group setting. All are welcome to join one discussion group every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 216 in the church.
We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level.
For October 18 Sunday worship:
This week's sermon: Finding Our Contentment in God
Scripture: 1 Timothy 6:6-12
Guiding Questions:
This Sunday we focus on contentment in God. What does it mean to feel contentment? When have you felt a deep sense of contentment? What were the qualities you experienced in that moment?
Contentment in God is an unusual phrase. Considering we each have a relationship with God, what might contentment look like? feel like?
In 1 Timothy 6, Paul writes to Timothy about being content. In verses 6-12, what specifically is Paul saying will bring us contentment or make us content?
As Paul usually does, he connects contentment with righteousness. If righteousness can be described as blamelessness or virtuousness, how might focusing on righteousness bring you contentment? Or if that is a struggle to consider, how is following Jesus one way of feeling joy or satisfaction?
Please join us this Sunday as we begin our new series: Generous. The Beauty in Giving. This Sunday's message is Living with Abundance and our scripture reading is Matthew 6:24-34.
