The Leadership Board would like to hear from you.
How engaged do you feel within our church community?
Where are you connected, or where would you like to be connected?
What are we doing right as a church, and where would you like to see some changes?
Church members and church friends (non-members) - we encourage you to have each of your family members fill out this survey. Including kids! The more feedback ... the better!

Have you noticed the rising costs of your favorite chocolate? Our chocolate prices remain the same!
We are still selling chocolate and would love to fill your pantries up! Each of our World's Finest Chocolate bars is $2 and every penny goes to our youth program.
Buy your chocolate in the church office today!
As you move around in the community, we invite you to wear a church t-shirt. We have some that have "Love Outside the Box" on the back and some have "I Can Help" on the front. There are a variety of sizes and colors for each style.
Donations appreciated. Contact the church office if you are interested in getting one.
Are you or a family member on active military duty? If so, we wish to acknowledge your service members and pray for them. If desired, please add active service members from your family to our prayer list by answering the questions in this survey.
We would also like to recognize any veterans tied to our church community, so we are seeking that information as well.
If you have multiple individuals to list, please fill out and submit another form. Questions? Please reach out to Pastor Laura.
Thank you very much!
Parker UMC is again sponsoring a Vitalant drive on Sunday, October 19 from 8:30 a.m. - noon. Do you know that Parker UMC has an Endowment Fund? We have an Endowment Fund that is invested through the Mountain Sky Conference, and it is designed to help you leave a lasting legacy that can benefit this church for generations to come. Whether your hopes are for the physical facility, or perhaps you want to provide for special ministries that this church can pursue in the future, we invite you to learn more about the PUMC Endowment Fund. Contact the church office.
In preparation for Sunday worship, here are questions to consider ahead of time. You can use these in your own devotion time, in conversation with family and friends, or in a small group setting. All are welcome to join one discussion group every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 216 in the church. You can also form your own discussion group.
Contact Doug McKinney if you are interested or have questions. We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level.
For October 5 worship:
Who Are You?
Scripture: Romans 12:1-2
Guiding Questions:
This sermon series, we are thinking about how we are to live "countercultural." What are those things you would label "cultural"? What does it look like to be "conformed to this age"? What are some examples?
Paul writes that we are to be a "living sacrifice." What does it mean to be “a living sacrifice”? What do you think of when you hear those words?
What does it mean to be transformed by God? (Note: The Greek word for “transformed” here has the same root as the word “metamorphosis”.) As you seek to be transformed rather than conformed, what kinds of things get in the way for you?
How do we define “good, acceptable and perfect”? What is the meaning of holiness? In what ways can our everyday actions and choices reflect worship to God?
What is one thing that you would like to be transformed or renewed? What is one thing/area that you can work on giving over to God?
Where does your mind feel the clearest to hear/receive the voice/will of God? Where is the space you can do that? What are some ways you do/can discern the will of God (e.g. spiritual practices)?
Please join us Sunday as we begin our sermon series, Counterculture. This Sunday's message is Who Are You? our scripture reading is Romans 12:1-2
9 a.m. Sunday: Blended service with traditional elements and a variety of music including hymns, handbells and choir.
10:30 a.m. Spark! Worship: This service includes contemporary praise music, and an informal style that offers a play area for children, opportunities for you to be involved in service, and the freedom to practice prayer and worship in exciting and personalized ways.
5:30 p.m. 2nd Wednesday of each month: At The Table. We gather around a meal, share conversation and stories of faith, and complete a small mission project.
All requests to add an item to the Midweek should be emailed to Pastor Laura by 6 p.m. on Monday evening.
