Each Sunday after the 9 a.m. worship service, join the class Connections: Weaving Worship to Life, in room 144 from 10:30 - 11:30 am.

This is an open and welcoming drop-in class where you can reflect on the sermon and worship experience, share insights, ask questions, and discover how God's Word connects to everyday life.

Have you been wondering how you can be involved at Parker UMC and give back?  We need YOU! 

We are looking for volunteers to serve as ushers on the 4th Sunday of each month! Ushers play an important role in welcoming people, helping everyone feel comfortable, and assisting during worship services. It’s a simple but meaningful way to serve and help create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our church family and guests.

It's time! Sign-ups to for volunteer for the Parker Feed My Starving Children Packing event on October 2 & 3 have opened!

This mobile pack event is open to the community. Share with your family & friends, community groups, and others. You can volunteer to help pack meals that will feed starving children and bring the gospel to children around the world who are in need. https://give.fmsc.org/parker

Join CrossRoads Gospel Band for a FREE anniversary concert on Sunday, August 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Parker UMC. Experience an afternoon of inspiring Southern Gospel favorites as CrossRoads celebrates three decades of sharing the love of Christ through music. Bring your friends and family!

Our altar flowers each week are given in honor or memory of someone. We usually have one arrangement each Sunday. The church office orders from our vendor, Little Shop of Flowers. You do not need to contact our vendor directly; we handle it.

In preparation for Sunday worship, here are questions to consider ahead of time. You can use these in your own devotion time, in conversation with family and friends, or in a small group setting. All are welcome to join one discussion group every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 216 in the church. 

We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level. 

For July 26 Sunday worship:

• This week's sermon: The Desires of the Heart - Do Not Covet.

• Scripture: Exodus 20:17

• Guiding Questions:

1. Read Exodus 20:17. What stands out to you about the final commandment? How is it different from the other commandments?

2. Why do you think God ends the Ten Commandments by addressing our desires rather than just our actions?

3.  How would you define "coveting"? How do social media, advertising, or our culture make it difficult to practice contentment?

4. What is the difference between healthy ambition and coveting? How can we tell when we've crossed that line?

5. What are some practices that help cultivate gratitude and contentment? How can celebrating someone else's blessings help loosen the grip of envy in our own hearts?

Regular Worship Services

• 9 a.m. Sunday: Blended service with traditional elements and a variety of music including hymns, handbells and choir.

• 10:30 a.m. Spark! Worship: This service includes contemporary praise music, and an informal style that offers a play area for children, opportunities for you to be involved in service, and the freedom to practice prayer and worship in exciting and personalized ways. 

• 5:30 p.m. 2nd Wednesday of each month: At The Table. We gather around a meal, share conversation and stories of faith, and complete a small mission project.
