Sign Up for 2026 Altar Flowers
Our altar flowers each week are given in honor or memory of someone. We usually have one arrangement each Sunday. The church office orders from our vendor, Little Shop of Flowers. You do not need to contact our vendor directly; we handle it.
If you are interested in ordering flowers, please fill out the Sign Up Genius for 2026 here. You can also email or speak with Candi in the church office. Cost is $50 per arrangement.
Please speak with Candi Robinson if you have any questions.
Thanks for beautifying our altar table!
In preparation for Sunday worship, here are questions to consider ahead of time. You can use these in your own devotion time, in conversation with family and friends, or in a small group setting. All are welcome to join one discussion group every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 216 in the church.
We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level.
For July 12 Sunday worship:
This week's sermon: The First Tablet - Tuned Into God
Scripture: Exodus 20:3-11
Guiding Questions:
When you hear the phrase “tuned into God,” what comes to mind? What helps you feel connected to God? What distracts you?
Read Exodus 20:3-11. Why do you think God begins the commandments with relationship before rules?
The first commandment says, “You shall have no other gods before me.” What are some modern-day “idols” or things that compete for our attention, trust, and devotion?
How have you understood the words "you shall not take the Lord's name in vain?" How might it be about more than avoiding certain words? How can our words and actions either honor or dishonor God?
The Sabbath commandment calls people to stop, rest, and remember God. Why is rest often so difficult for people today? What practices help you slow down and reconnect with God? How can keeping Sabbath become an act of trust instead of just another obligation?
Which of these commandments feels most challenging or meaningful to you right now? Why? In what ways do these commandments bring freedom rather than restriction?
What is one practical way you can become more “tuned into God” this week?
Please join us this Sunday as we continue the sermon series on The 10 Commandments. This Sunday's message is The First Tablet - Tuned Into God and our scripture reading is Exodus 20:3-11.
