Church Grounds Team Needs You
Thank you to everyone who helped with Clean Up Day on May 16. We had over 50 volunteers working both inside and outside the building. Special thanks to Scout Troop 16 and the Civil Air Patrol for their volunteer efforts. So much was accomplished because of you!
Now, we need your help to keep our landscape free of weeds this summer.
Consider adopting an area of the church landscape to keep free of weeds this summer.
Questions? Reach out to Mike Droll.
Thanks for helping our grounds be welcoming to all.
Register Now for VBS
On June 29 - July 2, kids will step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They’ll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life’s storms. We are now taking registrations for participants and volunteers. Click here to register or email Noelle for more information.
Staff Update
Elizabeth Simonton has been our Facilities Coordinator since January. Unfortunately for us, she will be moving out of state in early June. Her last full day of work with us is June 5. She will help us remotely until we find our next Facilities Coordinator.
Be sure to tell Elizabeth thank you for her work with us.
The Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) is already working on next steps in this process. Please reach out to Kelly Evans if you have any questions.
Sign Up for 2026 Altar Flowers
Our altar flowers each week are given in honor or memory of someone. We usually have one arrangement each Sunday. The church office orders from our vendor, Little Shop of Flowers. You do not need to contact our vendor directly; we handle it.
If you are interested in ordering flowers, please fill out the Sign Up Genius for 2026 here. You can also email or speak with Candi in the church office. Cost is $50 per arrangement.
Please speak with Candi Robinson if you have any questions.
Thanks for beautifying our altar table!
In preparation for Sunday worship, here are questions to consider ahead of time. You can use these in your own devotion time, in conversation with family and friends, or in a small group setting. All are welcome to join one discussion group every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 216 in the church.
We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level.
For May 31 Sunday worship:
This week's sermon: The God Who Creates, Redeems, and Sustains
Scripture: Genesis 1:1-5 and Romans 5:1-5
Guiding Questions:
This Sunday is Trinity Sunday, where we celebrate God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When you hear the word “Trinity,” what comes to mind? What questions do you have about the Trinity? Why is the Trinity so hard for us to understand?
Read Genesis 1:1-5. The Spirit of God moved over the waters before creation began. What does this reveal about God’s presence even in chaos? How do you most connect with God the Father/Creator? How does seeing God as Creator shape the way we care for ourselves, others, and creation?
Read Romans 5:1-2. Paul says we have peace with God through Christ. What does redemption or salvation mean to you personally? How has Jesus brought healing, hope, or restoration into your life? What does it mean to you that God does not abandon humanity but enters into our struggles through Jesus?
Read Romans 5:3-5. Paul writes about suffering produces endurance, character, and hope. How have you experienced God sustaining you through difficult seasons? Verse 5 says God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. How do you recognize the Spirit at work in your life? What practices help you stay connected to God’s sustaining presence?
How do these scriptures help us see the Trinity working together? Why do you think relationship and community are central to God’s nature? What can the Trinity teach us about unity, love, and mutual care?
Please join us this Sunday as we celebrate Trinity Sunday. This Sunday's message is "The God Who Creates, Redeems, and Sustains" and our scripture reading is Genesis 1:1-5 and Romans 5:1-5.
