Giving blood isn't fun but saves lives. Thanks so much to the 10 donors for signing up for Parker UMC's Vitalant Blood Drive on Sunday, April 19, 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We need 22 more donors to fulfill our goal. Remember that every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S needs blood due to cancer, car accidents, traumas, labor/deliveries and surgeries. Quality care depends on the availability of blood and right now there is a shortage. Who are the vulnerable ones now? Sign up through donors.vitalant.org and use drive code 0894. Or use the QR code on the left. Learn more about how your donation can change a life with this video.

The Missions Team currently meets on the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom but are open to adjusting this to work better with the Team. If interested, please reach out to Tammy Knowles or Tia Reinschmidt.

Thanks for beautifying our altar table!
Beware of Text and Email Scams
Scammers are getting more creative, and churches are often a target because scammers know people want to be helpful and generous.
As you probably know, there have been several fake emails and text messages that have gone around pretending to be one of the pastors and maybe a staff member.
We want to make sure you know how to tell what is real and what is not.
Here is a document with more information.
If you have any questions, please speak with Pastor Laura.
We appreciate your diligence!
In preparation for Sunday worship, here are questions to consider ahead of time. You can use these in your own devotion time, in conversation with family and friends, or in a small group setting. All are welcome to join one discussion group every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Room 216 in the church.
We hope this practice will help you engage with the scriptural texts and sermon at a deeper faith level.
For March 29 worship:
This week's sermon: The Good News is . . . Inspiring Us to Act
Scripture: Mark 11:1-11
Guiding Questions:
It's Palm Sunday. What do you remember about this event? Share with one another -- without looking at the text! -- what you remember. What makes Palm Sunday a holy day in our church?
The writer of Mark begins with, "The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ" (Mark 1:1). What is this good news, especially in light of our Lenten series?
In this Sunday's text, what is the good news that the crowds are expecting as Jesus enters Jerusalem?
Much of what is detailed here comes from Zechariah 14:4, 9:9 and Malachi 3:1. How do these details help us understand what is happening?
Note the verbs in this passage. There are a lot of action verbs. What are the actions the disciples are doing in response to what Jesus tells them?
How are you called to act after learning about this good news? What is easy to do? What is difficult to do? How do you overcome any challenges to an active response?
Please join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series, The Good New Is.... This Sunday's message is Inspiring Us to Action and our scripture reading is Mark 11:1-11.
9 a.m. Sunday: Blended service with traditional elements and a variety of music including hymns, handbells and choir.
10:30 a.m. Spark! Worship: This service includes contemporary praise music, and an informal style that offers a play area for children, opportunities for you to be involved in service, and the freedom to practice prayer and worship in exciting and personalized ways.
5:30 p.m. 2nd Wednesday of each month: At The Table. We gather around a meal, share conversation and stories of faith, and complete a small mission project.
All requests to add an item to the Midweek should be emailed to Pastor Laura by 6 p.m. on Monday evening.
