Mission Statement

The mission of the Park East High School library media center is to support our students and faculty by providing the resources necessary for research and inquiry as well as inspire a lifelong love of reading. Our goal is provide a safe and comfortable space for study, quiet discussion, and reading, including technological resources consisting of laptops, desktops, and printers.

LIBRARY POLICES

  • Students are welcome to visit the library during their lunch periods, during their free periods, or before or after school on select days. Please sign into the log on Ms. Holland’s desk when you arrive.

  • No food or drink is allowed in the library at any time.

  • Students are welcome to use the library computers for research, writing papers, or any other school-related assignments. Computers are not be used for online gaming, music videos, ecommerce, or social media.

  • Students may borrow up to five books at a time and keep them for up to three weeks. Books must be returned in good condition by the due dates. Extremely late books will result in detention until the books are returned.

  • Students are expected to respect the library policies at all times. Students who are disruptive or disrespectful will be asked to leave, and in extreme cases will be subject to disciplinary action.
