Enabling this function will allow ParentMail to send out verification messages via text. This means that you don’t need to have the parent’s email address up front to get them registered!

Once this setting is enabled, anytime a new mobile number is added to ParentMail, an automatic verification message will be sent via text providing that they have not already registered.

To enable SMS verification navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu, select General Settings then locate SMS Verification. Here you will find a button to enable this setting.

Please note: this will cost you 1 text credit per SMS, per user. Schools that use this function notice a much higher percentage of registered parents than schools that don’t.
