physical health and COVID-19 Resources/ Recursos de Salud FÍsica y covid-19
According to the World Health Organization, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Now more than ever it is crucial that we care for our physical wellbeing as the benefits are many. This can be accomplished through exercise, balanced nutrition, and adequate rest. However, it also involves creating a lifestyle to help you decrease the risk of disease or injury, and it requires a daily commitment. Medical News Today recommends that we take steps to attain wellness such as:
· Eating a balanced, nutritious diet from as many natural sources as possible
· Engaging in at least 150 minutes of exercise a week
· Screening for diseases that may present a risk
· Learning to manage stress effectively
· Engaging in activities that provide purpose
· Maintaining a positive outlook on life

physical fitness/ Estado FÍsico
As we slowly begin to go back to our old routines, it is important to note that many of us may have been limiting our physical activity. Did you realize that physical activity is an important factor that will determine if we are going to get sick or remain healthy? According to the American Society of Nutrition, a sedentary lifestyle is associated with an increased risk for chronic disease and decresed immune health. Therefore, exercise and movement are extremely important. Even a daily walk will help you, but do not forget your face covering. If not possible there are also virtual fitness centers available online to help families stay healthy.
