Mental Health
The 2022-23 school year is here. As we continue to adjust to living through a pandemic, it is not uncommon for students that initially seemed unaffected by what has been taking place to now begin to experience stress, anxiety, grief or worry, especially with a new school year back to in person instruction. As parents/caregivers, it is important to be aware of some common signs of distress in teens that may indicate that they may need additional support. We encourage you to browse through the different resources to assist you in supporting your teen. You may also contact their school counselor or a school social worker to further discuss your concerns. PUSD has partner agencies that provide services to students and if you would like to consult with a mental health professional for additional support, feel free to contact them by heading to their websites below.
