Parami University uses Emmersion to evaluate applicants’ English Proficiency. You can best prepare to take the Parami-Proctored English test by practicing a shorter version of the TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test). The Parami-Proctored English test is a comprehensive online exam designed to measure proficiency across all four core language skills. The test is AI-powered and adaptive, meaning it adjusts the difficulty of questions in real-time based on your previous answers.
The Parami English Proficiency test** has the following format:
i) English Reading
In the reading test, there is only one part. You will answer 12–25 multiple-choice questions in 20 minutes approximately. Content: Short and long passages covering main ideas, specific details, inferences, and vocabulary in context
When you have successfully completed and submitted the test, you will see a screen that says “Assessment Completed.”
ii) English Listening
In the listening test, there is only one part with 8-12 questions for 10 mins.
Content: Audio clips of everyday conversations, interviews, or short lectures. Test-takers answer questions based on comprehension and tone.
iII) English Speaking
The entire speaking test will take about 8-10 minutes. There are three parts to this speaking section.
Question Count: Typically 3 questions
Format: For each question, you have 15 seconds to prepare and 45 seconds to record your response.
Tasks: Describing personal experiences, expressing opinions on familiar issues, or describing places/things.
iv) English Writing
In the writing test, there is 1 essay question for 15-20 mins,
Requirements: Minimum of 150 words (some sources suggest up to 250 for higher levels).
Task: Write an opinion-based or descriptive essay based on a given prompt.
