ReaDARY Challenge 2026

The ReaDARY Challenge is a competition that aims to develop reading culture among Cambodian youth especially those who are in high school and university because reading is a necessary tool to gain knowledge. With the tremendous amount of knowledge that students gain from reading, they are able to analyze a particular topic with their critical thinking skill as well.

The Alchemist

The Alchemist is about Santiago, a Spanish shepherd boy who travels to the Egyptian pyramids in search of treasure after having a recurring dream. Along his journey, he meets mentors and faces challenges that teach him about his “Personal Legend,” or true purpose in life. In the end, he discovers that the real treasure lies in the wisdom he gains and that what he was seeking was back home all along.

The story is a fable about self-discovery, destiny, and the idea that the universe supports those who follow their dreams, emphasizing the importance of listening to one’s heart and embracing the journey.

ReaDARY Challenge 2026

Cambodian high school and university students are invited to join the ReaDARY Challenge 2026, an engaging event designed to inspire reading, teamwork, and creativity.

Book of the Year: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Team Format: Groups of three will read the book, prepare a short summary, and produce a creative video.

First Round

First Round: Write Reflection Paper

The first round of the ReaDARY Challenge will require the participants to write

a reflection paper on the topic given (The Chosen Book).

The participants can submit their reflection paper through the QR code on the poster or submit it through the link below.

Second Round

Second Round: Video Presentation

Every group continued to the next round. In this round, each group needed to produce a video answering three main questions which were considered by the three judges.
