PIUMUN Simulation of The First Semester of 2018 - 2019

32 delegates representing 16 different countries of the mock United Nations Security Council are gathering together in the Chamber, discussing and debating on the draft resolution of sending UN Armed Forces to Syrian Arab Republic to countering the return of terrorism, proposed by the Russian Federation.

With a three-hour-and-half debate, the draft resolution has not been adopted by 7 votes in favor, 4 against (the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, the State of Kuwait), and 4 abstentions (the Kingdom of Belgium, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Peru).
