Paradise Valley Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the college's next reaffirmation of accreditation visit is scheduled for October 14-15, 2024. At that time, PVCC will be required to submit an Assurance Argument, a Federal Compliance Report, and will host a site visit by the HLC so that they can comprehensively review our institution's programs, policies, and processes.
In April of 2024, HLC will send out a student survey to gather data on student satisfaction with PVCC's performance as their institution of choice.
During this site visit in October 2024, a team of 4 to 5 HLC representatives will observe and visit with staff, faculty, and students.
Peer review in accreditation is based on the fundamental assumption that quality in higher education is best served when peers in higher education, informed by standards created and applied by professionals in higher education, make team-based judgements about institutional quality using multiple types of evidence. Reviewers are peers – faculty, staff, and administrators – from other HLC-accredited institutions.
