Summer Music Camps
Summer Music Camps Overview:
• FREE for all participating students; taught by college and high school music faculty and guests
• 9:00am-3:00pm daily, with a 45-minute lunch break. recommended for 14ys – 18yrs (advanced 12-13 yrs may be accepted)
• Students are to provide their own lunch, snack and water bottles
• Taught in the Center for the Performing Arts Music Room (CPA115) or in the adjacent Music Building (N-building) or Electronic Music Lab (M-East Building)
• Daily camp sign-in and sign-out will be in the Center for the Performing Arts Lobby
• Reservations are REQUIRED to attend any of the summer camps
• Reservations for all summer camps open for online registration on Wednesday, April 24th
Songwriting & Recording Camp | June 3rd - June 6th
Looking for a way to elevate your songwriting skills and learn about the recording process? Look no further than PVCC's summer camp, a four-day intensive experience that will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to take your music to the next level. Whether you're an aspiring musician or a seasoned songwriter, this camp will give you the opportunity to work with top industry professionals and professors, learn about the latest recording technology, and collaborate with other talented musicians. Electronic Music Production Camp | June 10th - June 13th
Electronic Music Production Camp - Campers will explore the development and production of original music by utilizing Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) and Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) controllers. No experience necessary, all levels are welcome.
Jazz Music Camp | June 17th - June 20th
Come join other jazz-interested local high school students as we explore a variety of jazz styles, develop as jazz improvisers and listeners, and play in both small and large jazz ensemble settings. At least 2 years playing their instrument, no jazz experience necessary.
Musical Theater Camp | June 24th - June 27th
Music Theater camp is a 4 day whirlwind for students of all levels of experience and abilities. Together, we will put together a big group number and individual music theater scenes with dedicated voice, dance and music coaches. Camp will culminate in a showcase performance for friends and family.
Rock Band Jam Sessions
FREE for all participating students of ages 12 and older, and all skill levels. Taught by college faculty and professional guest artists. Reservations recommended as space is limited.

Jazz Jam Sessions
FREE for all participating students of ages 12 and older, and all skill levels. Taught by college faculty and professional guest artists. Reservations recommended as space is limited.
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 6:00p-8:00p (Center for the Performing Arts, CPA-115 Music Room)
Faculty: Keith Kelly, Adam Roberts, Eric Rasmussen
Tuesday sessions will include playing the tune, learning the melody/changes, listening to primary source recordings, and getting “tips and tricks” for playing the song. Thursday sessions are for jamming on the tune learned/taught that week in a combo/group setting. Participants are encouraged to attend both Tuesday and Thursday sessions each week for continuity.
