School Based Program Description
The Base is a teen center located in the main campus of Perth Amboy High School. We offer a full set of services in a "one-stop" shopping format which includes, but is not limited to, mental health counseling, academic assistance, college prep services (FAFSA), information and referral services, health education, enrichment and recreational services all of which are FREE and voluntary. Please be advised that we are still offering virtual services while on remote instruction, we are here at your service.
The Base is a project of the Jewish Renaissance Foundation and is funded by the NJ Department of Children and Families.

The Base es un centro de adolescentes ubicado en el campus principal de Perth Amboy High School. Ofrecemos un conjunto completo de servicios a los adolescentes de PAHS en una "ventanilla única" que incluye, pero no se limita a, consejería de salud mental, asistencia académica, preparación universitaria (FAFSA), información y servicios de referencia, educación sobre la salud, enriquecimiento y servicios recreativos, todos los cuales son GRATIS y voluntarios. Teen Talk is an open group where varying issues relative to the teen experience are discussed. We have also incorporated stress relieving games while on remote instruction.

T.A.B. is a closed group of student leaders who represent different grade levels. They share student perspectives and are actively engaged in The Base program development.
Youth Entrepreneurship Program
Youth Entrepreneurship Program
Y.E.P. is a closed group that is aimed at encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset in interested students. Students learn different business objectives in weekly seminars. This knowledge is used to create business plans that can potentially be entered into regional and national competitions. Selected plans have the opportunity to earn cash prizes.

Got Heart is an open community service group that works on fulfilling monthly community based projects.
