Choosing your courses for 2026 is a vital step in shaping your educational journey and future opportunities. Pāpāmoa College offers a wide range of subjects for selection, and we encourage you to read the course selection information carefully to make informed decisions. Discuss your options with your whānau and teachers, who can provide valuable guidance and support.
If you are looking to take on a new subject in Level 2 or 3, you should consult with the Head of Learning Area before making your choice. This will allow you to understand fully what learning is required for that subject and whether you will need to fill any gaps in your knowledge.
Our Pathways and Careers team is also available to help you navigate your choices and find the best fit for your goals. With a wide variety of courses on offer, it's important to explore different areas to ensure a well-rounded and enriching academic experience. Your decisions today can open doors to exciting possibilities tomorrow.
Process
OPTIONS
READ THROUGH ALL OPTIONS - Ensure that you have had a chance to read through all of the REQUIREMENTS, SELECTION GUIDELINES and OPTIONS available. Consider the options that best suit your learning needs and future Pathway options.
PREPARATION
You will need your 5 digit Student ID number ready. Your Whānau Teacher can help you to find this number. This will also be the number on your student ID card on the student KAMAR portal. You will need this number to select your courses.
SELECTION
When you have decided on what courses you would like to study, complete the ONLINE COURSE SELECTION FORM. Selections will be open from Monday 21 July. Selections will close at 4pm Friday 8 August. It is NOT a first come, first served system.
CONFIRMATION
Once the course selection process is completed, we will build the 2026 senior timetable. We aim to ensure that students get their first choices; however, this is not always possible. Deans may come back to you to discuss clashes or alternative courses. The courses that will run in 2026 are all subject to student numbers. There is no guarantee that a course will run if the numbers are low.
COMMENCE
