Every Wednesday we run an alternative learning programme for all students. The intention of Pro-Jects is for ākonga to explore potential future pathways through hands-on, innovative learning opportunities. Pro-Ject courses link to one of the six Vocational Pathways.
Electives are all about engagement and growing student leadership. Sports, cultural groups, and student councils all fit into the Elective kaupapa. Electives give kids the chance to “find their tribe”.
Electives run every Wednesday morning from 9:20am to 10:45am. ProJects run in the afternoons from 11:45am to 1:15pm, and a second session from 1:45pm to 3:15pm.
Classes on Wednesdays are multi-level, meaning students from Years 9 through to 13 come together to work on a shared kaupapa or passion. Students get to choose a new ProJect each Semester, and can change their Elective termly.
