Welcome to 9 Drama. In this course, the students are aiming to work at level 4 of the NZ drama curriculum. 

In the first semester, the students have between 4 to 5 classes where the focus is on improvisation skills. Even if students don't continue Drama beyond this point I am to have them leave a little more confident within themselves so they are better able to be confident in a public setting whether it be speaking or performing.  

In Semester 2 students can pick this course. Over the 17 weeks, the students begin the fundamentals of drama such as drama techniques, elements, and conventions. The course sets them up to understand the basics of drama and prepares them to work at level 5 of the curriculum in Year 10.
