Director Christian Karkosky - karkoskyc@paoli.k12.in.us 

A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mr. Christian Karkosky is currently serving as the Head Band Director at Paoli Jr/Sr High School in Paoli, IN.  Mr. Karkosky is a 2020 graduate of Purdue University Fort Wayne, and while at PFW he was the principal chair Saxophonist of the Wind Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet and Saxophone Choir, and was a Concerto-Aria Competition winner in 2019.  His professional memberships include the Indiana Bandmasters Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the North American Saxophone Alliance, and the National Association for Music Educators.  He regularly attends professional development opportunities including the IMEA Conference, the Midwest Clinic, and the BOA Summer Camp. He spent his first year teaching as Assistant Band Director of East Noble High School in Kendallville, IN and has been the Head Director of Paoli since 2021.  Mr. Karkosky resides in Southern Indiana with his wife, Maggie, and their son, Michael, along with their two dogs (Mahler and Stella) and two cats (Niko and Winnie).
