Theme: Beyond Inclusion — Power, Epistemic Justice, and the Politics of AI Futures
This issue asks the question: who defines the future AI is building, and at whose expense? Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
AI as an apparatus of epistemic capture: who defines “knowledge” in algorithmic system
From inclusion to justice: limits of diversity frameworks in AI governance
Epistemic violence, data colonialism, and AI-driven decision-making
Indigenous, subaltern, and minoritarian refusals of AI integration
National, corporate, and institutional capture of AI for governance and control
AI and the reproduction of state, managerial, or national ideologies
Alternative imaginaries: plural AI futures beyond Western techno-universalism
Critical pedagogy and AI: resisting automation of thought
Knowledge sovereignty in the age of large language models
Case studies of AI resistance, refusal, or community-led redesign
