Mahuru Māori is a challenge for each and every one of us to take up, no matter what our current level of Māori language may be. The idea is that we consciously speak more of the Māori language everyday during the month of September.
You set the frequency at the start of the month, to a level which is achievable and realistic. This could be:
an hour everyday
half the day everyday
one day per week
one week of the month
everyday for the entire month.
Then, during the month of September you will speak/write/sing only the Māori language according to the goal you have set.
