Dr. Laura Gormley | Educational Consultant
Dr. Laura Gormley, B.A. (Hons), M.Sc , PhD is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who obtained her PhD from Trinity College Dublin. Laura has over 14 years experience working as a behaviour therapist with children, adolescents, and adults.
In 2012, Laura took the position of manager at PALS Preschool for Children with Autism. In this role, she collaborated with the Department of Education to establish a group-based model of service provision for the children attending the preschool. In 2015, she started her current role as the Educational Consultant at PALS Preschool and consults on the individualised education plans for each child attending the preschool.
Olive Gormley | Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)
Olive Gormley is a highly qualified senior speech and language therapist. She has over 10 years experience working with adults and children with disabilities. Since her graduation she has consistently worked in a multidiciplinary team alongside psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, doctors, nurses and teachers. She is proficient in the administration of a wide range of standardized assessments including the CELF-4, PLS-3, CCC-2, DEAP, SCAN 3, TAPS, EVT-2, Peabody and BPVS. She also has certifications in Lámh, Hanen and training in peer mediation, dysphagia and PROMPT. She constantly stays up to date on the evidence base in her field by engaging in CPD, attending seminar and conducting research.
Olive develops dynamic and person centered education goals that are both evidence based and functional for the client. She is committed to delivering a service that is tailor made and best suits the needs of our students and their families and strives to develop individualised interventions that maximise success.She currently works with PALS on a consultation basis and will liaise both with management and the classroom teachers to ensure our student's speech and language goals are achieved.
