Do I have to apply if Woodlands is my home school?

You should apply for Culinary, IT, Medical, and Cambridge Academies through the Choice application. You can participate in Cambridge instruction without the Choice Lottery if you are zoned for Woodlands, because we are a Cambridge International School.

What is the difference between Cambridge Academy and Cambridge classes (non-academy)?

The Cambridge Academy classes have the Cambridge Frameworks infused into the Florida Standards Curriculum. The learning is a higher level of rigor that offers a global perspective of learning and allows the students to compete and be ranked academically amongst scholars internationally.

Can I participate in more than one academy?

You can participate in two academies if space permits, which uses both choices on application. Choose elective option before Cambridge for best chances, and submit the application found on our web page or sent by email.

What does the 95% capacity list mean?

Woodlands is near 95% capacity, which may allow you to choose another school that has a similar program to ours as your first choice, even if WMS is your home school. Students are not restricted WHERE they may apply to, but they will be informed of all high-enrollment schools that will have limited seats.

What is the difference between Cambridge and Gifted?

Gifted students will be placed in our Gifted and/or Accelerated Math and Accelerated Science classes that are taught by Cambridge teachers. All gifted students will be Cambridge students.

Medical Academy is not showing up on my list!

In-house programs (if you live within attendance boundaries) are listed at the TOP of the list.

Can I change my application after I submitted it?

You are allowed one change before the deadline.
