To provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students in grades 6-8. In partnership with other educators, child study team members, the school nurse, school psychologist, parents/guardians, and the community, school counselors will facilitate a proactive support system necessary to ensure that all students at Okeeheelee Middle School have access to, and are prepared with, the knowledge and skills essential to contribute as lifelong, self-directed learners and responsible, productive members of society.
This is my ninth year as a school counselor in Palm Beach County. I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a minor in Education, and with my Master's degree in School Counseling. My goal as a Middle School Counselor is to empower students to have a positive mindset to reach the goals they wish to accomplish in life. I believe that all students have a voice to be heard, that they are capable of fulfilling any dream and making a positive impact in our world. My name is Ms. Juanita D. Sánchez. I was born and raised in México. I am the new ESOL School Counselor and I am so excited and honored to be part of the Warrior family this school year. This is my 21st year in education for PBSD. Throughout those years, I have had different jobs, such as: Spanish Language Facilitator, Spanish Teacher, and Certified School Counselor, among others.
I have an undeniable passion for school counseling, especially for students getting accustomed to the American culture. Guiding them to reach their educational potential and support their families, in collaboration with administration, teachers and staff, is one of my priorities. Hello everyone! I am Ms. Antonacci. I have been in the School District of Palm Beach County for 29 years. I have a degree in elementary education and a proud grad of Lynn University. Okeeheelee Middle is a very diverse school and that is why I love this place! As many of my colleagues have mentioned, I too, love to travel. Recently I visited Ireland and England. I also went back home this summer ( 2024 ) to my native country, Italy. I have taken a few EF Tours to Spain and Japan and there may be space for one more. Stay tuned!

Hello there, my name is Mayra Henry. This is my fifth year working at Okeeheelee Middle School as a Social Service Facilitator. A little bit about me, I was born and raised in Guatemala. I have a degree in Social Work from the University Rafael Landivar. I have been working with children and families for almost twenty five years, nine of them have been with the Palm Beach School District. Part of my job includes connecting families with needed resources in our community. I also serve as a liaison between families, teachers, counselors and staff. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with many of you this year.

I have worked with kids from ages 2-15 years old since I was 14 years old. I have a passion for working with kids. I will offering mental health services to the students here at Okeeheelee Middle.
I am from West Palm Beach, Florida. I attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida where I got my Bachelor of Social Work degree. I then moved to south Florida to get my Master of Social Work at Florida International University.
I am a huge sports fan. I don’t have a favorite team, but I have favorite players. I like to play basketball, go to sporting events, and travel for fun. Recently I became a basketball trainer.
I was born and raised in South Florida and attended Florida Atlantic University where I received my bachelor’s degree in social work. I am very passionate about working with youth and helping them strengthen their self-esteem and self-efficacy. I work for the Drug Abuse Treatment Association as the prevention counselor. I work with at-risk students, educating them about drugs as well as helping them with anger management, stress, anxiety, or anything else they may be struggling with.
