Mission
Welcome to the award-winning Olympic Heights Fine Arts department! The Fine Arts staff, with support of parents, the community, and students, will provide a safe learning environment for every artist, affording them the opportunity to achieve mastery of essential skills and develop their unique interests and talents. Students will graduate as responsible life-long learners who will make a positive impact on the community and the world through creative outlets within Art, Band, Chorus and Theatre.
Philosophy
The Fine Arts Department encourages you to spend this year, and the lifetime that follows, absorbing absolutely everything you possibly can while taking educational risks within your craft. It will be challenging, but we promise that you will be far better off in the end, whether you choose a path in the arts as your life's work or not. As professionals in our area of expertise, we will do our best to provide you with superior knowledge and motivating experiences to get you where you’d like to be.

Welcome to the incoming Freshman. Our Visual Arts department has a lot to offer. The AP students are always busy with both their AP work, competitions, and our outreach projects. We have been honored to have two students accepted into the juried competition at the Norton Museum for the past three years which is how long these exhibits have been offered. This year one junior, Fiorella Valencia, and one senior, Jackson Domenico, were welcomed to participate in the exhibit. It was a wonderful evening at the Museum which was enjoyed by all the participants and their families. The National Art Honor Society has been creating murals all over the school in past years. All students are able to join the National Art Honor Society! This year we are creating artworks for a children's hospital. Due to our present situation, our members are working from home to create the artworks in acrylic paint on canvas. We look forward to seeing them come to completion and then to get them donated. We are still deciding which of two hospitals will be receiving the paintings. The Norton Museum held their third student exhibit from Palm Beach County School students. The exhibit is juried competition, which means the artworks submitted are reviewed before the show to allow only the best of the entrants to be included into the exhibit. This year two of our AP Art students were accepted into the show. We congratulate Jackson Domenico and Fiorella Valencia. They are both phenomenal artists and we are all proud of their accomplishments. We are always busy creating wherever and whenever we can. It will be wonderful to see all our new artists in the fall.
