Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2021
Completed Kindergarten Pre-Entry Questionnaire (click the form to the right)
Completed Student Housing Questionnaire
Birth Certificate (preferred) or Passport
Physical Exam – (within 1 year of enrollment) dated August 10, 2020 or later
Immunization Record on DH Form 680
2 Proofs of Address zoned for Marsh Pointe (from listing below):
Home/cell phone bill
Credit Card Statement
Electric Bill
Mortgage
Auto insurance policy
Florida driver’s license
Florida identification card
Rent receipt with the name of the tenant and landlord and contact information for all parties
Lease agreement with name of tenant and landlord and contact information for all parties (valid only through the expiration date indicated on the agreement. Upon expiration, parents must present a copy of the renewed or new agreement to the school office.)
Home purchase contract including specific closing date, with copy of the deed to be provided within 30 days of closing date
US Postal Service confirmation of address change
Evidence of correspondence, including a stamped, addressed, postmarked envelope delivered to the home address
Declaration of Domicile form from the County Records Department

A Day in Kindergarten
This is a list of activities that will be included in your child's day. Recess is for 30 minutes each day (except PE days when they have played outside for 35 min). Snack time is quick. Dry snacks only please that don't need utensils to eat or special storage. Lunch is supervised by Lunchroom Aides who can help your child with their needs. Our fine arts team is always planning fun projects and activities that support our classroom curriculum.

*Needed in order to enroll in a gifted K class
*Must be evaluated by a licensed psychologist
* Full scale IQ 130 or above
* Demonstrate majority of characteristics on Teacher checklist completed by a Florida Certified teacher
School Evaluation
*Once your child is an enrolled student, they may be evaluated through the school district
*Due to the teacher checklist, your child’s teacher will need at least a trimester to fairly evaluate your child on the Teacher Checklist
*School evaluation can be up to a 90 day period

Dress Code
Dress Code
At Marsh Pointe, we dress for success! Students need to come to school in uniform each day to school. The main piece is a Marsh Pointe polo shirt with khaki or blue bottoms. Bottoms can include navy blue, black or khaki shorts or pants. Girls can also wear a skirt or a jumper. On PE days students may wear a PE shirt with their school appropriate bottoms. Students can show their school spirit on Fridays when they are allowed to wear a school spirit shirt or a PE shirt with jeans. Sneakers must be worn everyday.

Class size average in K-3 is 18 in a class.

You will get a phone call from your child's teacher the week before school starts.
Are rolling backpacks allowed?

Yes. Your child will need a regular sized backpack they can bring to school daily. No mini backpacks.

We ask that your child reads every night. Homework varies and may include: sight word practice, math page, special projects or individualized activities based on your child's needs.
