Core Values: Leadership, Inclusiveness, Character Building, and Caring
Since Key Club has expanded exponentially over the past few years, we wanted to come up with a theme that would help us include as many members in dress-up roles as possible but still keep up with our always-elaborate props and construction process. We came up with decorating as the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All our members contributed many hours to building our "set" and decorations. In under one month, we managed to build a candy tree, an Oompa Loompa cutout for photos, several 3-D Oompa Loompas, a chocolate river, a Wonka-inspired "entrance"/photo spot, golden tickets, and more. Our officers and members dressed up as Willy Wonka, Veruca, Violet, Augustus, Mike, Charlie, Charlie's Grandpa, and Oompa Loompas. We had a blast getting creative and seeing the reactions of all the trick-or-treaters as they approached our trunk. We want to give a special thanks to all the members who participated, their parents, and most of all, Señora Rodriguez, whom none of this would be possible without.
As of the 2025-2026 school year, our Key Club has started implimenting the Key Club Newsletter once again. Students will be reminded of meeting and upcoming events as well as be given fun facts and other important Dwyer KC news via a link we will send each of the students who are members and/or in our Google Classroom. Newsletters are also posted in the club's Instagram page @dywerkeyclub. Check it out!
The Quantum House sent us a very kind letter of thanks for visiting them and cooking for their families. We would like to express our gratitude to them again for allowing us to come in and help out in any way that we could. Thank you Quantum House!
After winning the 2023 Trunk or Treat with a Toy Story theme, Dwyer Key Club came back to take the gold again with our awesome Inside Out theme. Our costumes and trunks were largely based off of Inside Out 2, which came out previously this year, including more emotions like anxiety and embarrasment. Our decorations helped us seal the deal on our wins as we spent many hours dedicated to painting, drawing, coloring, and gluing many different pieces together. Of course we also need to recognize our amazing officers who went all out painting their faces and throwing on wigs- Genevieve Morel, Shane McGuire, and Sarah Pereira. A huge shoutout to our sponsor Señora Rodriguez and all of the wonderful Key Club members who helped us pull this off. We can't wait to see you all for Trunk or Treat next year! :)
