Usually, you, the student, comes to school, takes notes, listens, tries to understand the concept or objective of the day during school. Then you go home with homework to try to make sure you've got it.
Well... in a flipped classroom, you get the concept or objective at home by watching and rewatching videos, taking notes, writing down specific questions you want to ask the next day in class. Then... you come to class to do your "homework." This way, you can get help right away as you are practicing. No more doing a whole night's homework wrong, or not understanding how to do it.
Now... this can be really helpful, but you have to do your part. You must watch the videos, with integrity. In other words, watch them & rewatch them so you understand the concept. (Don't just put them on while you're doing something else and come to class and say, "I don't get it.")
You will find videos for each section we will be "FLIPPING" on this Google Site. Some are even taken from your online book (Virtual Nerd videos). Make sure you are taking notes and writing down specific questions. You'll see that some of the Virtual Nerd Video notes have been given to you.
