Facilitate learning groups to engage in problem-based learning to reinforce mini lesson. Students self-explore.

Learner groups will analyze and accurately practice identifying parts of speech through Gaming Activity 1 Parts of Speech Charades following the sequence outlined in the mini-lesson (without immediate assistance from the instructor).
Engage with small groups to guide lines of thinking.
(20-25 minutes)
The instructor will engage the learner groups in a short, oral formative assessment to review learner growth and challenges found during independent practice.
Next, have learners continue practice applying the parts of speech targeted mini-lesson skills and strategies: Gaming Activity 1: Parts of Speech Charades & Gaming Activity 2 Parts of Speech Roll Out to close academic gaps.
Work with the learner to demonstrate mastery utilizing instructor-selected tools through presentation and/or pull-outs.

At this stage, the learner becomes the instructor by explaining the completed activity and the steps taken towards completion. This lesson flip provides the instructor with another opportunity to listen for skill mastery and or guide the learner's thinking toward sound understanding.
Provide an opportunity for students to utilize online learning tools to facilitate individualized instruction.
