Vehicle registration is proof of payment of registration tax and fees. It consists of a metal license plate, a decal and a registration certificate.

You must apply for a registration and title in your name when you purchase a vehicle, move to the state or change the ownership status of the vehicle. Owners must register their car within 30 days of establishing residency in Florida.
