After Thanksgiving break, school nurses will start administering voluntary rapid antigen tests to ‘brick and mortar’ students who are exhibiting Covid-like symptoms. Students must have a signed consent form on file at the school to be considered for testing. Even with a consent form on file, parents opting into testing will be contacted before any test is performed. Parents of students in PK - 2nd grade, who want their symptomatic child tested, must be present for the test. Parents of children in grades 3-12 will have the option of being present during the Covid test.

Please return the signed consent form to your child’s teacher. Be sure that the form has the parent/guardian name printed, sign the form, and return it to the school - not the District.
Please verify that the contact information we have for you is accurate. This short video explains the verification process.
Students will be excited to see their friends when they return to school. It’s important, however, to remind them that social distancing guidelines that we now have in place were created for their protection. It’s paramount they understand that new procedures must be followed. Check out the Student Protocols due to COVID-19.
The School District of Palm Beach County firmly believes a positive school culture promotes equal educational opportunity and establishes the framework for a safe learning environment. The Student Code of Conduct is comprised of a set of policies, rules, and laws by which order is established and maintained for the benefit of all. Discipline within a school must have the qualities of objectivity, consistency and equity. It is the responsibility of all school personnel, students, parents, external stakeholders and the greater community to ensure the school environment encourages a climate conducive to learning.
