The Gators track team sent two student-athletes to the state finals held at the University of North Florida on May 18. Seniors Miche Estime and Niko Piatt qualified for the finals after impressive performances at the regional competition at Martin County on 5/8. Estime finished in 7th place in the 110M hurdles and Piatt finished 16th in the javelin. Congratulations on a successful season!

The Lady Gator softball team went on the road to Osceola HS in Kissimmee and defeated the Kowboys by a score of 6-2 on 5/9. With the victory, the Gators advance to the Regional semi-finals to face rival Centennial HS (20-7) at home on 5/14 at 7:00PM. Junior Aces Sydney Shaffer and Hailey Brereton will square off in a rematch of the extra inning thriller from earlier in the season won by the Gators 3-2.
The Gators track team competed in the district championship on Monday, 4/29 at Dwyer HS. Three Gator athletes claimed individual championships. Senior Niko Platt won the javelin. Hurdler Miche Estime was crowned champ in the 110m hurdles while Junior standout Katherine Odita won the 100m hurdles. Congratulations to Coach McDaniel and the team, who also had numerous top 5 finishes with several athletes qualifying for the regional meet on Wednesday, May 8th at Martin County.
With a district runner-up finish in a 7-6 thriller vs. Wellington, the Lady Gator softball team has qualified for FHSAA regional competition. Boasting a #2 seed in the region, the team travels to Osceola HS (14-10) in Kissimmee on Thursday, May 9th for the regional opener. With a win, the Lady Gators will return home on 5/14 to host the winner of the Centennial/Harmony game.
April 2024
The Gators flag football completed their successful 2024 campaign on 4/23, finishing the season with an impressive record of 14-4. The team traveled to Ft. Pierce Central and dropped their final game of the season by a score of 14-0.
The Lady Gators softball team finished the regular season on a 3-game winning streak, with victories over West Boca, Martin County and Park Vista. With the victories, the team finishes the regular season with a record of 20-3. The Lady Gators begin postseason play on Tuesday 4/30 at 7pm with a home game against rival Jupiter HS (12-6).
Congratulations to the Hall of Fame class of 2024! The induction ceremony took place on Sunday, April 21 in the auditorium where the following Gator standouts were inducted: (L to R) Joe Edgley, Joe Russo, Vince Kendrick, Pavin Smith, Kathy Karlik, Patricia Offerding, Patrick Williams and Richard Brown. Special thanks to MC Davis Demontluzin and the PBGHS Sport Management students for producing the event program and inductee awards.
The Gators flag football traveled to St. Cloud on Thursday 4/18 where they defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 18-0 in the opening round of regional play. Behind stifling defense and a 12-point 2nd quarter, the Gators rolled to victory and advanced to the semi-finals to for a re-match against Ft. Pierce Central. FPC won their opening round game by a score of 44-0 against Vero. Good luck to the Gators on 4/23 as they travel north for Regional semi-final competition.
The Lady Gators softball team improved to 14-3 on the season by defeating Cooper City by a score of 19-7 on 4/12. Holly Frankl led the way with 5 RBI and Nicole Shultz added 4 RBI and a HR. The team also had several members receive recognition from the local media during the week. Finola Evans was nominated by the Palm Beach Post for athlete of the week while Reagan Towns (Player of the Year), Shea Towns (Newcomer of the Year) , and Brynn Catasus (Slugger of the Year) were nominated for midseason honors. The team has three home games this week, starting with South Fork on Tuesday at 7pm.
The Gators flag football team has advanced to regional playoff competition, traveling to Central Florida on April 18 to face St. Cloud. The team advanced to the district final by defeating South Fork by a score of 24-0 and eventually losing to Martin County in the championship game; 27-0. Nevertheless, the Gators still keep their state championship hopes alive and will face off in a win or go home game vs. the 11-3 Bulldogs.
The Lady Gators softball team improved to 13-2 on the season by defeating rival Jupiter by a score of 11-2 on Friday 4/5. The team collected 14 hits and pitcher Sydney Shaffer tossed a complete game, striking out 14 Warrior batters. Reagan Towns and Finola Evans led the way offensively, tallying 2 RBI each.
The final signing day of the 2023-24 school year took place on Friday, 4/5 with five Gator student-athletes making commitments to continue their careers at the college level. Football players Keyon Stephens (Webber) and Christian Lopez (Wabash), baseball standout Jomari Philostin (Indian River), basketball star Kyana Poitier (Palm Beach State), and 3-sport athlete Kaitlyn Retiro (Coker) took part in the signing ceremony. Congratulations to all five of these outstanding student-athletes.
March 2024
Behind a solid outing from Lucas Valencia and a 2-3 (3 RBI, HR) performance by Jomari Philostin, the Gators baseball team defeated Okeechobee by a score of 4-2 on 3/28. That team improves to 7-8 on the season and travels to Jupiter HS on 4/1 to take on the Warriors.
Congratulations to the girls' lacrosse team for picking up their first win of the season vs. Garcia HS on 3/28. The Gators defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 9-4 and will host a rematch between the two teams on Friday 4/5, which is also Senior Night.
Gators Quarterback Myla Alligood threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns for the Gators as they defeated rival Seminole Ridge on 3/12. Ridge, who knocked the Gators out of last seasons playoffs, could only muster 98 yards against the Gators defense. The Gators defeated Suncoast on 3/13 but dropped their first game of the season vs. Centennial on 3/14, ending the week with a record of 9-1 heading into spring break.
Senior Luke Hogue blasted a walk-off two-run HR to lead the Gators past Park Vista by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday 3/12. The Gators, who had not recorded a hit or had a baserunner through six innings, scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings. With teammate Jomari Philostin on 1st base, Hogue sent the game-winning HR over the left field fence. He also pitched the first six innings for the Gators, allowing only three runs while striking out three.
Gators Quarterback Myla Alligood has emerged as one of the top performers in the state, leading the team to a 7-0 record to start the season. And, her leadership and outstanding play in being noticed. Alligood is one of only 12 south Florida players to be selected to take part in the Nike Girls Rookie Premiere hosted by the Miami Dolphins on March 22. The boys and girls track teams competed in the Bill Wilson Invitational at Sebastian River; and, both teams placed in the top 5 in a meet that featured schools from all-around the tri county area. The boys team, led by a second place finish by Sr. Miche Estime in the 110m Hurdles, placed 4th overall. On the girls side, Acaria Higgins led the team to a 5th place finish by winning the High Jump and Javelin events. Higgins also won the High Jump on 2/22 at the JI Leonard Invitational. The team travels to Cardinal Newman this Thursday.
Congratulations to Gator wrestlers Jorge Bravo (113) and Jaylin Bien-Aime (215) for achieving top 5 finishes in the FHSAA State Wrestling Tournament 2/29-3/2 in Kissimmee. Bien-Aime finished in fourth place overall while Bravo took home 3rd place honors. Congratulations to Coach George and the team on another outstanding wrestling season here at Gardens.
Spring Training is in full swing at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter! And, several Gator students and alumni turned out in support of the Exceptional Children's Foundation. Led by the girls weightlifting and lacrosse teams, student-athletes worked concessions to earn community service hours while also raising money for their team's. Thank you to Gator Head Coaches Honey Smith and Mary Rivieccio for coordinating the trip and all the smiles and team spirit throughout the day! Go Gators!

The Lady Gators flag football team opened up the season with two impressive victories over Lake Worth (2/19) and Jensen Beach (2/22). On Monday, the Gators defeated Lake Worth by a score of 27-0. Myla Aligood threw three touchdown passes and also ran for one touchdown. The Gators came back Thursday and defeated Jensen Beach by a score of 20-0. Amya Lane scored two touchdowns and had one interception in the victory.
The Lady Gators Softball team capped a perfect start to the season going 3-0 by beating St Thomas Aquinas Friday night 10-2. Senior Maddie Quinn, Junior Kaman Reno and Freshman Shae Towns all hit Home Runs. Maddie Quinn, Junior Holly Frankl, and Sophomore Finola Evans all had multiple hits in the game. Junior Sydney Shaffer pitched all 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits with 3 Strike outs against a talented Aquinas team. The Lady Gators look to keep it rolling this week with 3 home games. Monday vs John I Leonard, Tuesday vs Treasure Coast, and a huge game Friday night against District rival Wellington.

The Gators varisty baseball team defeated a talented Coral Springs Taravella team on Friday 2/23 on a late inning, 2-run home run by Tony Bieber. Following the go ahead home run, Lucas Valencia retired the side in order to close out the game for the Gators. Valencia tallied strikeouts on the final 4.1 innings and did not surrender a hit.

Congratulations to Gator wrestlers Jorge Bravo, Kenneth Poitier, Jaylin Bien-Aime, Alex LaSalle, Ainsley Sheriff, Kamar Vertus, Aiden Mcmahan, and Ethan Rega. All 8 Gator wrestlers have qualified for the FHSAA regional wrestling competition scheduled for February 23-24. Bravo (113), Poitier (175) and Bien-Aime (215) were overall district champions in their respective weight classes.
The Lady Gator basketball team continues their stellar season, defeating visiting Palm Beach Central HS by a score of 69-51 in the class 7A, regional quarterfinal game on February 14th. . The Gators were led by a 28 point, 20 rebound performance by Kyana Poitier. The Gators will host Oak Ridge on Monday, February 19 at 7pm in the regional semi-final game.
Congratulations to Gator football standouts Aiden Malcolm and Sedrick Clarke for making commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers on National Signing Day. Malcolm, a safety, will be staying local to play at Keiser. Clarke, a defensive lineman, will be moving on to play at Fayetteville State.
The Lady Gator basketball team continues their stellar season, defeating visiting Centennial HS by a score of 55-52 in the class 7A, district 7 championship game. The Gators overcame an 8 point deficit at halftime to eventually pull away from the Eagles behind a 17 point, 21 rebound performance by Kyana Poitier. The Gators will host Palm Beach Central on Feb. 14 in the first round of regional play.
Congratulations to Gator wrestlers Nelca Fleurigene and Coy Greene for winning individual 1st place honors at the district wrestling championship on Thursday 2/8. Both Lady Gator wrestlers will advance to the Regional championship on Saturday 2/17.
The girls weightlifting team capped off an excellent season, sending five competitors to Regionals on 2/4/24. Congratulations to Isabella Blount, Arianna O'Connor, Sabrina Beckman, Tayler Rigg and Dez-Rikel Becton for representing the Gators in the postseason.
The Gator wrestling team hosted the Palm Beach County Wrestling Hall of Fame Championships on 2/2-2/3/24 and had two of it's very own post outstanding performances in front of the home crowd. Senior Jorge Bravo captured 3rd place honors in the 113 weight class while teammate Jaylin Bien-Aime was crowned champ in the 215lb division. The Gators travel to Suncoast HS this weekend to take part in the Max Desir Memorial Tournament.

With a record of 18-2 and dominant victories over Palm Beach Central and Olympic Heights, the Lady Gators basketball team was honored by ESPN West Palm as the top Performers of the Week. The team was presented with a $500 check and was featured on ESPN for their outstanding season. The Lady Gators are ranked #2 in West Palm Beach by MaxPreps and #6 for 7A schools in the state.
The Lady Gators girls soccer team defeated visiting Centennial by a score of 6-0 in the quarterfinals of district playoffs on 1/24. The Gators faced off against Treasure Coast in the semi-finals on 1/26 and lost a close game by a score of 3-1. The team wrapped up their successful 2023-24 campaign with a record of 10-7-1.
The boys basketball team is riding a three game winning streak, posting wins over Golden Gate, Garcia and Riviera Beach Prep during the week of 1/15. The Gators put up an impressive 101 points on Thursday during their win vs. RBP. The Gators face off against Suncoast at home on 1/22.
With wins over North Broward Prep (63-45) and Martin County (41-40), the Lady Gators improve to 16-2 on the season. Playing without senior Kyana Poitier, the Gators held on to win a 41-40 thriller vs. Martin County on Friday night as they head into the home stretch of the regular season. Brandi Brown and Alicia Russell both had 13 points in the win over MC. Go Gators.

The Lady Gators soccer team hosted Senior Night on Wednesday 1/10 and defeated visiting Lake Worth by a score of 8-0. The team improved to 8-4-1 on the season as they head into the final week of regular season play with upcoming games against Dr. Garcia, Benjamin and SLAM. Congratulations to seniors: Sara Inman, Jess Gush, Victoria Sanders, Alexandria Robinson, Serenity Sinkovich, and Kaitlyn Retiro.

Congratulations to Gator football standouts Michael Wright and Caleb Chamberlin on making commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at the Division 1 level. Wright, a Senior DB, will be staying home to play for FAU. Chamberlin (4.81 GPA), also a DB, will be serving our country at the Air Force Academy.
The Lady Gators basketball team continued their outstanding season, picking up two more victories last week. On Tuesday 12/12, the team traveled to Boca and defeated Olympic Heights by a score of 64-35. On Thursday 12/14, the Lady Gators traveled north to Fort Pierce Central and picked up a 57-40 win behind Latasha Whyte's 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Lady Gators are ranked #6 in the area.
The Gators boys basketball team rebounded from 2 tough games vs. rivals Dwyer and Jupiter picking up 2 consecutive victories during the week of 12/11. On Wednesday, 12/13, the Gators defeated Inlet Grove by a score of 61-55. Then, the very next night at home, the team dominated Seminole Ridge and picked up a 69-43 victory. The Gators improve to 5-2 on the season under first year Head Coach James Lake.
The Lady Gators basketball team continues their winning ways, picking up three road victories during the week of 12/4/23. On Monday 12/4, the team defeated Palm Beach Central 72-57. Next, the Gators traveled to Suncoast and picked up an 80-38 win. Finally, the girls closed out the week with a dominant 64-24 victory over the Jupiter Warriors.
Senior wrestling standout Jorge Bravo (113lb) is off to a fast start this season, picking up 1st place honors in the first two tournaments attended by the Gators. On December 2nd, Bravo picked up 1st place at the Boca Invitational. Then the very next week, he captured 1st place at the Santaluces Holiday Tournament. The Gators resume action this week at the District Duals held at Dwyer HS.
After dropping a close contest vs. Boca earlier in the week, the Lady Gators basketball team picked up their first win of the season by defeating Seminole Ridge 57-49 on Friday 12/1. Kyana Poitier led the way with 21 points and Alicia Russell added 14. The team travels to Palm Beach Central on Monday 12/4.
The Gators varsity basketball team is off to a hot start, picking up three wins last week over Oxbridge, Garcia and Forest Hill. The Gators, under first year coach James Lake, have held opponents under 60 points in all three of their games this season. The Gators host defending state champ Dwyer HS at home on Tuesday, 12/5, tip at 7:30pm.

The Gators varsity basketball team picked up a win in the Lake Worth Christian Preseason Invitational on 11/16, defeating Boynton Beach by a score of 59-45. The team kicks off the regular season at Oxbridge on Tuesday 11/28
The Lady Gators soccer team picked up two victories (11/14 & 11/16) vs. Dreyfoos and later in the week vs. Lake Worth. The team defeated Dreyfoos by a score of 6-1 and Lake Worth 8-0. Sara Inman had three goals in the Dreyfoos game. With the wins, the team improved to 2-1-1 on the season.
The Gators varsity golf team ended their postseason run with a 7th place finish at the State Championship on November 10-11 at the El Campeon course in Howey-in-the-Hills. The two day event ended with two Gator golfers, Jacob Kutner (12th) and Wylie Inman (27th) placing in the top 30.
National Signing Day took place on Wednesday, November 8th and four talented Gator student-athletes took part. Golfer Henry Kuehne committed to play at Creighton. Softball player Madison Quinn signed with Stetson. Baseball player Cam Carpenter will be playing at Appalachian State and teammate Gavin McSweeney committed to Keiser. Congratulations!
The Gators varsity golf team continued their outstanding season by finishing 3rd at the class 3A Region 4 tournament last week held at Plantation Preserve Golf Club. The team finished 3rd, only 12 strokes back from regional champ Jupiter, who the Gators defeated a week earlier to capture the district title. Jacob Kutner and Ryder Kenney led the way with a pair of 73's and Wylie Inman cracked the top 15 with a 74. The boys will travel to Howey in the Hills to play in the State Final at the El Campeon course, 7:30am tee time.
The Gators varsity football team defeated district foe Park Vista by a score of 31-13 Friday night 10/3 at Cobra Stadium. With the victory, the Gators finish the regular season with a record of 6-4 and earned a #5 seed in the regional playoffs. The Gators will travel to Santaluces HS on Friday 10/10 to take on the Chiefs (7-3) at 6:30pm.

The varsity golf team captured the 3A, District 13 championship on Monday 10/23 at The Park in West Palm Beach. Posting an overall score of 280, the Gators edged out rival Jupiter HS by two strokes. Wylie Inman led the way with a 68, earning individual district champion honors. Henry Kuehne posted a 70, good for 3rd place overall. The Gators will be moving onto regional play next week in Boca.
Congratulations to senior golfer Raiyah Harrell for her top 10 finish at the girls golf district tournament on 10/24/23. Her outstanding play earned her a trip to the FHSAA regional tournament on 10/30/23 in St. Cloud.
The Lady Gator volleyball team continued their winning ways; picking up three victories last week. On Monday 10/9, the team defeated Dreyfoos on Senior Night. The Lady Gators came back on Tuesday and defeated Glades Central on the road and traveled to Santaluces on Thursday to pick up their third win for the week. With the 3-0 week, the Lady Gators improve to 9-7 on the season and will travel to Vero Beach on Monday 10/16 to take on the Chiefs in district play.
The Gators varsity football team improved to 4-3 on the season with a shutout win over Royal Palm Beach. The Gators were in command from start to finish, finishing the game with a 34-0 victory. The Gators return to action this Friday, 10/20 at home vs. undefeated Palm Beach Central. Kick off is scheduled for 4:30pm.
The Lady Gator volleyball team continued their solid season picking up two victories over Olympic Heights and Boynton Beach respectively. The team dropped a 3-2 thriller later in the week against Royal Palm but improved their record to 6-7 heading into the final week of regular season play.
The varsity football team improved to 3-3 on the season with a dominant 43-16 road win vs. district rival Palm Beach Lakes. The Gators were impressive on both sides of the ball the entire evening, jumping out to a 22-8 halftime lead. The Rams rallied with a score early in the 2nd half but the Gators scored fourteen unanswered points, capped by a 15 yard touchdown pass from Keyon Stephens to freshman Lorontae Davis.
September 2023
The boys' golf team improved to 4-1 on the season with a narrow 150-151 victory over crosstown rival Dwyer on 9/20. The Gators are back in action next week against Park Vista on Tuesday 10/3 at BallenIsles.
The Gators varsity swim team competed in tri-meet action on Monday 9/18 vs. Suncoast and Dwyer at the North County Aquatic Complex. The team made a strong showing; posting 2nd place finishes in the boys team medley and the boys 200m relay. The Gators also picked up two 1st place finishes with Kyle Wessel and Thomas Bean claiming individual honors. The swim team returns to action on10/2 as they travel to Santaluces HS to take on the Chiefs in a dual meet.
The Gators varsity football team improved to 2-2 with a convincing 35-0 victory vs. Glades Central on Thursday 9/14. Led by a dominant performance by the Gators defense, the team erupted for 28 second half points led by Keyon Stephens two touchdowns and 173 yards passing. With the win, the gators climb to #8 in MaxPreps Palm Beach County rankings. The Gators travel to Pahokee on Thursday, September 21 to take on the Blue Devils (2-2), 6:30pm kickoff.
Led by Jacob Kutner's 34, the boys' golf team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 159-199 victory over Palm Beach Central on Wednesday 9/13. Ryder Kenney (38) Henry Kuehne (37), and JP Jacobs (39) also posted strong rounds for the Gators. Earlier in the week, the Gators dropped their first match of the season by a score of 144-146 to state powerhouse Jupiter HS. The Gators are back in action this week against Seminole Ridge on Monday 9/18 at Madison Green.
Led by Wylie Inman's -3 under par performance, the boys' golf team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing win over rival Dwyer HS on Thursday 9/7. Ryder Kenney recorded an even par score of 36 and Henry Kuehne (37), and JP Jacobs (38) also posted strong rounds for the Gators. The Gators are back in action this week with home matches vs Jupiter on Monday, 9/11 and Palm Beach Central on 9/13 at Ballen Isles Country Club.
After a hard fought battle at Vero Beach on Wednesday 9/6 (Vero 26-Gators 11), the Gators returned to the gridiron on Saturday 9/9 to take on neighborhood rival Dwyer HS. Behind 229 yards of total offense and another solid performance by the Gators defense, the team improved their record to 1-2 on the young season. Keyon Stephens connected with Michael Wright on a TD pass to help the Gators outlast the Panthers at Blum Stadium. The Gators travel to Bell Glade on Thursday, September 14 to take on Glades Central (0-2), 6:30pm kickoff.
The Gators golf team got off to a blazing start with an impressive 57 stroke victory over Seminole Ridge on Wednesday 8/30. Playing on their home course at Ballen Isles CC, the Gators carded a score of 157 while the visiting Hawks finished with a score of 214. Meet the 2023 boys' varsity golf team: William Inman, JP Jacobs, Noah Kant, Henry Kuehne, Jacob Kutner, and Devin Scanlon. The Gators square off against rival Dwyer HS this Wednesday at Ballen Isles in PBG.

The team hit the road the very next night and picked up a 3-0 (25-6, 25-5, 25-8) victory over Pahokee. The Lady Gators return to action on Monday, 9/11 at Royal Palm Beach (4-0).
August 2023
The Gators varsity football team dropped their regular season home opener to rival Atlantic by a score of 21-14 on Friday 8/25. The Eagles jumped out to a 14-0 but the Gators narrowed the lead to 14-7 on a Michael Wright touchdown catch with time winding down in the 1st half. Quarterback Keyon Stephens delivered the pass to Wright, who finished with 85 all purpose yards. The Gators defense, led by Niko Platt's 12 tackles (3 for a loss), quieted a talented Atlantic offense for most of the second half. This allowed the Gators to tie the game 14-14 with three minutes remaining in the game on a Keyon Stephens 18 yard QB keeper. The Gators defense stopped Atlantic on the very next possession, forcing them to punt with 2 minutes to go. But, with under one minute to play, Atlantic managed to intercept a Gators pass that led to a game-winning touchdown run with only seconds remaining in the game. The Gators (0-1) travel to Vero Beach (1-0) for a week #2 matchup vs the Indians on Friday, September 1. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.

The Gators varsity football team started the season off with a victory over visiting Calvary Christian by a score of 21-7 on Friday, August 18th. The Gators rallied in the second half, scoring 21 unanswered points on scores from Cole Cross, Devin Atwaters and Lorantae' Davis. The Gators defense completely shut down the Eagles in the 2nd half allowing the team to pull away in the 4th quarter. The Gators are back in action this Friday, August 25th as they take on the Atlantic Eagles at home; 6:30pm kickoff.
Lady Gators make strong showing at Garcia Preseason Tourney
Volleyball season is back in full swing and the Lady Gators are off to a promising start. On Thursday, August 17th, the team participated in the Garcia Preseason Tournament featuring public and private school teams from around the area. The Lady Gators opened with a 2-0 victory over Olympic Heights and dropped their second match by a score of 2-1 to Seminole Ridge. 2023-24 fall sports officially begin on Monday, July 31. All student-athletes are required to complete an updated eligibility packet including a sports physical to tryout. No exceptions.

Dr. Andy Hope and the team from Hope Health and Wellness visited campus on Tuesday, July 25 from 9am-noon and provided nearly 100 complimentary sports physicals to Gator student-athletes! A huge thanks goes out to Hope Health and Wellness for their generous support!
