PREPARATION:

Prior to this lesson, review each PowerPoint (Five Big Myths About Consent and Understanding Gender) to familiarize yourself with exactly what you will teach.

These lessons can generate some strong opinions. Remember to present the material objectively. Students may share their opinions as long as it is not derogatory or offensive to others.

Sign into YouTube from the portal so you will not have to sign in when a video comes up on the Consent PowerPoint.

PREPARATION:

Review the Comfort With Content PowerPoint and/or Vodcast prior to starting this lesson. In addition, review the Human Reproductive System ppt.

OPTIONAL: Make copies of Reproductive Systems Crossword and Review of Menstrual Cycle & Prenatal Development if you would like students to complete for a grade.

PREPARATION:

Set up the HIV/AIDS Infection Lab prior to class.  This takes some preparation prior to teaching this lesson.

Copy the HIV: Human Immunodeficiency Virus Fact Sheet, the HIV/AIDS Infection Lab (the last two pages ONLY), and the Post-Test for each student.
