At West Boca High, it is our practices that every students takes at least 3 accelerated courses, AICE, AP, Dual Enrollment, Industry Certification, by the time they graduation.

AICE Courses at West Boca

Every student enrolled in an AICE course will be registered to take the exam associated with the course free of charge. Students can retake an exam during the next exam series or sign up as a walk in to take an exam for a course they did not take for a fee. Email Dr. Sawyer to schedule a time to talk about this option.
AICE Dipolma
Students have the opportunity to earn the AICE Diploma by taking 7 AICE exams from the four subject areas. Students must take one exam from groups 1, 2, 3 and the core. The other three remaining courses can come from any of the groups. All seven courses must be completed within a 25 month window (5 AICE exam series, 3 school years.) Cambridge offers many more courses then the few that are offered at West Boca High. If you took an AICE course or exam at another school and it is not listed as a course offered at West Boca High, please go to the Cambridge website to see what subject areas it will count as for the AICE Diploma. AICE and Bright Futures
AICE Diploma Completers, students who pass seven AICE exams in the correct groups, can automatically earn the Florida Academic Scholars award if they complete 100 community service hours and submit their Florida Financial Aid Applications.
AICE Curriculum candidates, students who take seven AICE courses but to not pass all seven exams, may still qualify for the Florida Academic Medallion Scholars award if they earn the required SAT/ACT test scores (1330 SAT, 29 ACT), 3.5 GPA and 100 community service hours.
