Background Requirements

• Colors are neutral, not bright; Subtle patterns are acceptable

• No borders (including vignettes)

• Indoors or outdoors are both ok

• No props or hats. (ex. sports equipment, cars, instruments, etc.)

• Neutral and consistent lighting throughout photo. No glares or shadows.
  
  

Poses

• Full head and shoulders shot. No profile photos, No close-ups. No full body poses. Legs and knees must not appear in photo.

• Color photos only. No black and white or sepia tones.

• Hands are permitted.

• No hats or props.

• No soft focus.

• No color slides or filters.
  
  

Appropriateness

- No cleavage. Undergarments must not be visible (this includes bralettes).
- T-Shirts with logos, text, or images are not appropriate for the formal portrait.
* Shirts that are part of a Pal-Mac High School team uniform, or shirts that say Pal-Mac may be permitted at the discretion of the yearbook advisors.

Submission Guidelines

• Photographs must be of a professional quality or they will not be used in the yearbook. No amateur photography.

• The yearbook advisors and administration reserve the right to reject any senior portrait that does not meet these guidelines. If an appropriate photo is not submitted, the portrait taken at the school on picture day will be used instead.
